About Puja

The sacred month of Shravan is considered one of the holiest times to worship Lord Shiva, and Mahasomvar (the Mondays of Shravan) holds even greater spiritual significance. This year, on 14th July 2025, a powerful Maha Abhishek Puja will be performed at the revered Mahamrityunjay Mandir in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to the form of Shiva who is the conqueror of death and disease.

The Mahamrityunjay form of Lord Shiva is worshipped with the goal of overcoming fear, illness, planetary obstacles, and untimely death. The mantra and abhishek offered to Him are known to grant long life, better health, emotional strength, and relief from chronic issues. This Mahasomvar, offer your prayers through this sacred ritual to eliminate fear and unlock blessings for peace, vitality, and protection.

Devotees are invited to take part in the puja through the following packages:

  • Individual Puja (1 Person) – ₹951

  • Partner Puja (2 People) – ₹1501

  • Family Puja (4 People) – ₹2100

Each puja will be performed by experienced Vedic Pandits, who follow ancient rituals and precise mantras for Maha Abhishek, invoking the powerful vibrations of the Mahamrityunjay Mantra and sacred offerings like Ganga Jal, milk, honey, curd, ghee, and Panchamrit.

This divine opportunity is meant for those:

  • Seeking protection from untimely death

  • Wishing for long and healthy life for themselves or loved ones

  • Struggling with illnesses, mental anxiety, or fear

  • Wanting harmony among family and protection from planetary doshas

The power of the Mahamrityunjay mantra lies in its vibration that connects directly with Shiva’s healing energy. When combined with abhishek and sincere devotion, it is believed to have the potential to reverse negativity, resolve karmic obstacles, and restore well-being in life.

The puja is conducted at the ancient Mahamrityunjay Mandir, one of the most sacred Shiva temples in Kashi (Varanasi). As per Hindu scriptures, the lingam here is Swayambhu (self-manifested), and it is said that anyone who offers water and chants the Mahamrityunjay Mantra here is granted protection from accidents, disease, and early death.

By participating in this sacred Shravan Mahasomvar abhishek, devotees not only seek blessings for themselves but also create positive planetary influence, as it is believed that Shiva’s grace can neutralize the malefic effects of all nine planets (Navagrahas).

All participants will receive real-time updates of the puja on their registered WhatsApp number, along with a Puja Video after completion. This allows even distant devotees to feel spiritually connected and included in the ceremony.

Take this sacred opportunity to surrender your fears, protect your health, and invoke divine blessings for a long and fulfilling life.

FAQs

What is a Temple?
A temple is a sacred place where Hindus connect with Bhagwan Ram, Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, and other deities through prayer and devotion. It is not just for worship — it's a space for peace, reflection, and spiritual growth. Temples help people find answers about life, karma, and dharma.
If you're unsure about your Gotra, the first and most reliable step is to ask the elders in your family — parents, grandparents, or extended relatives. They often carry this ancestral knowledge passed down through generations. However, if no one in the family recalls the Gotra, Sanatan Dharma offers a compassionate solution. As mentioned in our Shastras, when a Gotra is unknown, one may respectfully adopt Kashyap Gotra — a revered sage among the Sapta Rishis — for performing rituals and Sankalpa. You can confidently proceed with your booking by mentioning Kashyap Gotra in the Sankalpa form. This is spiritually accepted and honors the intention of devotion. Hari Om.
